In one report by Hanan Greenberg, the IDF has already completed drills for a 2-Front war against Hamas in the south and Hezbollah in the north. Aside from this, Israel has also distributed new gas masks to residents in east of Tel-Aviv according to an article by the same author. The IDF has stressed that the military exercises and mask distribution are not due to any intelligence of a possible war in the north.
