In this important Stratfor analysis, Kamran Bokhari says that while the rest of the world is transfixed in the Libyan unrest (I think rightly so) the more dangerous aspect of the Persian Gulf protests are largely unnoticed (I agree as well). Stratfor says that it is not just oil which is at stake but greater Iranian influence as well.
Like Strratfor, I see the Persian Gulf threat as the more dangerous in the long term not just to Israel but for the rest of the world. It also seems that in all these unrest around the Persian Gulf, the target and most valued prize will be Saudi Arabia. Once this is achieved by the radical elements, Israel will be next.
